LA Outback just received, and posted to the site, a new batch of didgeridoos by James Wallace. James has a talent for seeing forms and art in places others may overlook. Like finding faces or characters in the clouds, James can do this by looking at a piece of wood found along a river bank or forest floor. He loves the outdoors and prefers living in a rural environment. And with the exception of high school art and an airbrush class for water colors, James has no formal training. Perhaps that’s why his didgeridoos don’t “fit the mold”. They are ground-breaking aesthetically, and sonically sublime. A fusion of sculpture and sound.
